Month: One

I was very excited to meet this baby. Armed with a trunk-load of props and posing strategies, it was a session of improvisation instead.
Little S didn't sleep for more than 30 seconds during our session! I still managed to capture some cute family shots and her sweet gray-blue eyes but I left feeling a tad disappointed in myself. It's a big lesson learned about newborn shoots, they really have to take place within the first 10 days of life if you want to nail down the artistic poses. Carrie Sandoval - I'm determined to emulate you in 2011!(check out capturedbycarrie.com)

Little S.  I hope to see you again.   I have a feeling you will be crawling and walking early!

Mom and I had a vision of little S sleeping on her tummy, legs tucked underneath and head turned towards the camera with her checks smooshed. We tried! We really did.

Grandma Mack is in Town!

and we discovered a new lovely location

Baby, it's cold outside!

Minus 11C plus swirling gusts of wind mixed with light snow = a darn good reason to stay indoors. But we are from Saskatchewan and we're tough, right?
We met at Extreme Bean with the idea to take a few shots to give to family next week for Christmas. Once the weather turns we are going to meet again for some skating in Bowness Park. I'm crossing my fingers for hoarfrost and sprinkles of sun when that happens! Merry Christmas P family; Your little guy is impressive!
