Sarah + Kevin engaged: Regina Wedding Photographer

Sarah is a long time friend from grade school. I have always known her to be high energy with lots of laughs and big smiles, and now also a craftster, making my job as a photographer a lot of fun. Armed with balloons and signs, we decided to start where the engagement began: Wascana Park. From there we ventured into downtown and the Warehouse District for a bit of flavour. Despite the wonderful locations and photos we captured, my favourite part of the session was when I said something that came across as a bit cheesy to Kevin and then tried to compensate by promising that I never give false compliments. Sarah immediately retorted, "I've known you since Grade 2 Carla, don't worry"
Ahhhh... friends that you may not see frequently - but still know you oh so well. I'm really looking forward to their wedding next June.

Motu: Calgary Pet Photographer

Motu is a boisterous clown of a bulldog who gives some good cuddle time. But he had a rough beginning that no dog deserves.
Living with a family in town that neglected him, Motu was rescued by an empathetic neighbour with some serious chutzpah. Threats were made and the year old pup was soon passed on to a new home. But covered in skin infections and starving for both love and a good meal, Motu was on a long road to getting his health back.  In comes Brad, who treats Motu as a son and invested the necessary time and resources so desperately required.
Later it was realized (via his microchip) that Motu was smuggled in from China! Interpol got involved and wanted to take Motu away but the veterinarian stood up for this inseparable duo and the agency thankfully backed off. Its a story we could all learn from and I have tears just thinking about all the injustices faced every day; How many other dogs have gone through something similar only for a neighbour to 'not get involved?'
